Read & Chat Program at the Norristown Public Library
The Pennsylvania Humanities Council is sponsoring a Read and Chat program on the theme Life Stories.
Coincidentally, the first selection is the book chosen by the One Book, One Philadelphia Series. The announcements are in the library (a blue and white page) but I dont think there has been too much publicity other then word of mouth. At any rate the programs are on Saturdays at 2:00 PM (for about 1 ½ hours. It would be great if we could get greater local participation. The first one (the Color of Water) will be discussed March 6. Books are available at the library at the front desk

2. The opening of our 2004-05 Theater Season will take place on October 29 with the drama by Bernard Pomerance, The Elephant Man. A very moving play, you will remember the movie as well as the award winning play that has been performed many places over the years. Playing John Merrick, the elephant man, is a regular at The Centre Theater, local actor, Jered McLenigan. His portrayal of this man is dynamic and exciting to watch. We are excited to have their show hanging in the first floor of the Cultural Center through the run of the play.
